I posted about this yesterday, all I will say is that many people seem to be posting on this without actually reading the written bill. I was prompted to post on this due to a bad take from someone I consider usually reliable, and what they were saying wasn't actually in the bill.
I hate to seem like I am defending TikTok, because it is bad for society, and does bear all the hallmarks of a deliberate psyop by CCP, but reading things into this bill isn't the way to go about it.
The bill defines "foreign adversary controlled website" as something that can be regulated by the US government. this would give the US government the power to arbitrarily limit and censor almost any website if they claim it is connected to a foreign adversary.
Now think about how many items the US government have claimed have been Russian disinformation.
In effect, establishes a great firewall potentially identical to china.
