Something I've noticed with Anime recently, with the biggest example I can remember being Bleach TYBW of Authors using the anime adaptation to 'fix' mistakes they did in the original manga. Like adding more explanation to a scene or just making it flow better.
The localisers and translators AREN'T doing that, instead they are forcing their agendas into work they had no part in creating. Thought it was worth showing the disparity as the first gets massive acclaim by long term fans, the latter gets us asking fir literal bots to replace your ass.
What's really good is the Japanese are doing some major noticing with this behaviour. Since they know it will likely affect their sales big time hopefully they're going to be ruthless about evicting these cretins from the industry. Something that's been a joke lately is crunchyroll have been 'fucking up' their releases generally and being quite incompetent for the service they supposedly offer. I hope that the Japanese really start clamping down on this otherwise it's going to quite badly affect their reputation.
Hopefully we'll get more games made in Japan and just selectively hire certain outsiders for particular roles. Japan I imagine can discriminate with impunity.
