Truly, consultancy is the real villain. I remember gamers being up in arms about Mount And Blade calling in medieval fighting consultants, and that time gamers burned down an orphanage because EvE Online consulted with a sci-fi writer for a ship design. It's always been those darn consultants!

Definitely not the DEI/ESG drviel.
