A dude named Daniel Harris who catfished Rekieta and was skinwalking as the online profile of a IRL woman he went to HS with in Louisiana. In the spring of '23, Nick got really drunk one night and proclaimed to Mandy that he would fuck the shit out of her if he wasn't married. He also tried to encourage "Mandy" to come to Anime Matsuri with him&his wife for an implied threesome, but Mandy never showed. It's presumed that Nick's wife saw the simping at the time because he deleted the stream and went hat-in-hand begging clip channels to take it down.
Nick continued his post-stream Locals chats by contract all through 2023, but they essentially devolved to sloppy drunken messy seethe sessions where he eats on camera in his messy kitchen, complains about KF and his haters, complains how hard life is as a streamer, makes promises about changes to his show that never materialize and makes constant vague allusions to how stressed he is, how hectic his home life is, how he hates missing shows but there are constant emergencies, etc. But he never actually states what the problems are behind the scenes.
After the catfishing reveal, Rekieta did a Sober January to prove the haters wrong that his drinking wasn't out of control. He mostly accomplished this by barely streaming at all for the month of January, then being a weasel claiming he only promised not to drink "on stream". He almost made it, but then uploaded a cringy swinger drunken hot tub stream at the end of the month with another couple from the Steel Toe Morning Show (the same host who revealed that Nick drinks whiskey at brunch and pressures others to do the same so he doesn't drink alone).
Eventually it was revealed that his Rumble and Locals contracts were only for 1 year, which expired around Jan '24. All evidence points towards that they've cut him loose because it's March and he's completely radio silent about a renewal. So he told all his old audience to fuck off, he has no guaranteed money, he hates streaming and barely shows up and makes low 3 figures a night when he does.
Good lord, this was almost painful to read. Its just sad to hear how far this guy has fallen. Just goes to show that you should never let your vices get the better of you I suppose.

With Nick's descent into degeneracy, he's realigned himself with Dick Masterson (who he was a fan of and integral to the launch of his streaming career) and his co-host Vito. Dick and Vito initiated drama surrounding Eric July's ISOM comic books being mid in order to gain attention for Vito's own never-releasing comic. Dick personally emailed the ISOM Christian ministries to inform them of a possible trademark infringement with July's comic, in an attempt to embroil him in a lawsuit. Dick also indirectly sent employees and sycophants to loiter and vandalize July's Texas distribution center and deface his great-grandfather's southern grave.

Nick Rekieta inexplicably involved himself in the drama, talking about how July's work was shit despite never reading it and insinuating that July was committing charity fraud via program where his fans could buy copies of his comic for children. He also defended the blatant harassment from Dick Masterson and his fans towards July. July, thin-skinned & enraged, came on Nick's show to defend the allegations. July later made his own video calling Rekieta a "non-practicing" lawyer. This enraged Nick, who would go on the next night to get drunk and call EJ a nigger on stream for 7 hours straight. Nick never apologized and is widely believed to have been blacklisted by the entire FNT/G&G crew.
I agree it’s really hard to get the full backstory on how Rekieta went so off the rails over the last 2 years.
No established YouTubers have really touched or acknowledged WTF is happening with Nick except some really small spergy channels with an axe to grind.
The Elissa clips channel posts contemporary clips of what Nick is up to, but the comment section is only inside jokes.
Nick's Kiwifarms thread is too large, fast-moving and full of shitposting to learn the old lore or keep up. The overview post in his thread is perpetually incomplete and getting rewritten.
I personally gave up on trying to stay up-to-date about 6 months ago.

Nick Rekieta lore is difficult to explain because there's tons of it, but its lots of little stuff without that many big salient points.
It's kind of a IYKYK thing.
I followed RL during Kyle's trial, but only remained subbed after that.
After his arrest I tried to find out what the hell happened, but every video atm are just people celebrating his demise.
Anyway, shocking searching an old thread on this site gives a better rundown than a couple hours video I just listened too.
