Unfortunately for the funny option of number two, last I heard they went with option 3:
Ban EVERYONE trying to bring politics into the game, want an LGBT flag = ban. Want to complain about those wanting an LGBT flag = Ban
So it's really a non issue now. The bigger issue is how they seem to be bringing pilotable mechs into the game and it's reopening the old wounds on Titanfall veterans who remember their game getting abandoned.
What happened to Titanfall?

Idk how, Fortnite and Apex are overall dogshit games and they are the biggest cash cows in gaming
I mean, the gay shit in Apex is unbearable, but as a shooter it is incredibly competent. Not just the gunplay, but the sound design is top notch.
