Sounds like it's time for a Japanese publisher or a based indie dev to take up the mantle. Steal AC's gameplay and make a better, historically accurate open world game. Yeah AC is an overplayed formula but so what, people are still buying. Even better if they can improve on it like Palworld did with Pokemon.
