It's hardly sociopathic. I quite simply don't care about people who, if they had their druthers, would kill or enslave me for not being muslim. It's a simple values calculation. I care about my own. Their very existence is a threat against my own. Giving a damn about their lives is contrary to the outcome I actually want.

Empathy is an emotional appeal my dude. And frankly, it's largely contrary to intelligence.
