You're posting about the switch but the Valve's steam deck is proving to be such a success that even I'm considering getting one and I'll treat it as a portable gaming PC because you can use it like that. I think lots of people are fed up of closed source trash and companies who consistently treat their own customers like they're the enemy.
Once people break through Nintendo's branding and indie devs start developing similar style off-brand and on the PC I think the same thing is going to happen to Nintendo. Nintendo tend to rely heavily on their branding, which is partly I think why they have such a massive hard on for copyright. They can't do anything about games like Palworld though which is hilarious and at least you can play Palworld on the steam deck if you're into pokemon style games.
This is why I keep preaching about indie creators, it's happening, slowly but surely and they're going to knock the big studios off their pedestals.

I'm not disagreeing about the indie part, but Nintendo is way more than Branding. They are some of the best game designers in the world.
