I'd say you're right but just barely as it's comparing a firebombing to a nuke.
Toxic beauty standards IS a thing not just leftist delusion and we just need to see the rates of eating disorders and plastic surgery to see that. The worse thing is we can see it going to RUIN the natural beauty a woman has and turn it into a plastic monstrosity (see Erin from the boys)
Now body positivity is worse than that because it promotes a decrease on standards, same as those that promote being sluts or we should just accept minorities engaging in criminality because 'it's part of their culture and don't know better'. It's a race to the bottom mentality because they don't want to put in the basic effort to maintain standards and rather see everything degrade and erode around them than even do a minute of work.
One video that sticks in my head was a woman bemoaning being ugly in the tik tok 'five stages of acceptance' method.
The thing that gets me, though, is that... she looked fine! Cute, even. Not ugly, not overweight - the worst you could say about her that she was 'average', and I felt that was reaching a bit.
...so, naturally, she then went to the final stage of 'revenge', with a supposed 'glow up' that just had her looking like a porn star. Skimpy clothes, makeup caked on, the works.
Maybe I'm just turning into a were-Boomer or something in my more off moments, but we really shouldn't be basing beauty standards off of whores, of all things.
It's why I base my beauty standards of fantasy and mythology, something impossible to obtain but good to aspire to as who doesn't want even a fraction of that?
Basing beauty standards off someone who spreads their legs for a few notes is just pathetic.

It doesn't even need to be that.
