The "female" label is egregious even by their own batshit standards.

It was. They've recently shifted the narrative, it seems, and I'm seeing more and more males being called specifically female. They're really tripling down on the 'biological sex isn't real' meme. We all knew it was coming, and now it's here...and will only get more pervasive.
