Shane Gillis was thrown out of SNL after a couple of days, spent four years complaining about it and now he's hosting that shitty proglodyte show. And we're now supposed to tune in to both SNL and 'Shane Gillis' (who.gif)?
SNL is never going to be funny. It's a who's who of shitty celebrities.
SNL WAS quite funny much of time and today is OCCASIONALLY funny now. Very occasionally.
Chevy Chase. Adam Sandler. Farley. David Spade. Phil Hartman. Akroyd. Belushi. Bill Murray. Norm Macdonald. Mike Myers. Classics. Tina Fey. Amy Poehler. Great. (Sure I've missed many.)
Kristen Wiig.....no thank you. Kate McKinnon....no thank you.
I don't really like any of the "newer" crop of SNL starts at this point. (And newer is definitely relative!)
Jimmy Fallon? Meh. Fred Armisen? Meh. Will Forte? Meh. (I loathe Kristen Wiig). Andy Samberg? meh. Bill Hader? meh.
Most of the new people have such an exagerrated over the top manner. I don't know quite how to describe it. For the guys it's as if they think they by acting both effeminate AND like a weirdo, they're automatically going to be funny. It's just too much.
Kenan is is solid and has been there freaking forever, but I don't think he can carry the show like the some of the oldies can.
Like most TV, SNL was anti establishment until Democrats consolidated power under Obama. It's been establishment propaganda ever since, and anybody who has been on that show in the last 15 years has not been funny, because humor is right wing now.
