My theory on why they love it so is less about biochemical addiction and more on it being an unmet need psychological.

The most exploitative parts of modern societies/governments are about subtly fucking over the general population in a myriad of small and slow ways that aren't initially obvious to average normies and leave no recourse for fighting back by the time a midwit would realize what has happened. They constantly just have this vague feeling of injustice and desire for conflict, and they waste all that motivation on the first embarrassingly half-baked strawman presented to them, instead of having the mental fortitude to hold on to it and think about how to get back at whoever is actually fucking them over.
