There's a scene with Oppenheimer defends his work on the Manhattan Project to his friend by saying, "It's not your people that are being targeted." Because Oppy is a jew. What strikes me is he defends the leftist in the Spanish Civil War despite them killing Catholics and raping nuns. I'm not a blame the jooz guy but I find it interesting that defending the Jewish community is good, but destroying a Christian community isn't even a consideration when picking sides.

The movie leaves it unsaid why the Los Alamos team was more than happy to nuke Germany if they got the chance but balked at nuking Russia.
Then again, Lewis Strauss was a practicing jew (unlike Oppe), hardline anti-commie, and republican.
Takes all kinds.
There was the scene after the German surrender with the meeting to end the project since Germany was out of it. And there was Opy's speech after Hiroshima about him regretting not dropping the bomb on Germany. I think the movie was explicit about making the bomb before Germany, and after they were defeated the job was done.
I was kinda shocked that Nolan turned it from a biopic about Oppenheimer to an anti-Strauss movie in the third act.
I was not aware of that
I not trying to be the "source" guy but I gotta ask do you have any info that backs that up?
A lot of those intellectuals thought Stalin was Russia's savior, and that it was better than the US.
