lol I don't think I want to watch something so utterly depressing, checked out the video a little bit but yeah this is why I watch anime. It's probably on it's way, I mean Elon's building humanoid robots now properly so it's not a stretch to say robot waifu's will be a thing to a degree and they're going to replace real women for a lot of men soon enough.
I mean I completely understand the temptation being a single guy myself that's never had a girlfriend of you just pay £3000 or whatever it will be and then you can have your fully customised girlfriend straight to the door as fake as fuck that may be. If they're advanced enough it doesn't matter how easy to exploit the tech will be people are just going to accept it because it benefits them since the alternative is really fucking grim from a mental perspective.
Personally I think Ghost in the shell is another pretty realistic depiction of what will happen once they make autonomous robots more common. They won't necessarily be advanced enough for sentient thought, but enough of a replacement that men won't be missing real women any time soon. There was this scene in a Ghost in the shell episode where Section 9 was investigating a bunch of corrupt politicians and they all brought over their robot waifus to a party even though a bunch of them were married. Robot waifus as well don't carry the risks of paying women for sex so there's that angle too.
Personally I'm more on a Deus Ex human revolution future myself, the instant sunglasses would make driving SO much easier than having to reach in the glove compartment on a sunny day /s
Feminists have made women so unappealing that this is a consideration, if feminism never existed, we'd be more focused on robots for practical uses like resource extraction in areas too dangerous for humans than trying to make them companions.
You may want to check out some films in the 1970s, apparently a lot of them were warning of this DECADES ago, just not with robot waifus..
This came into my algorithm, a Dave Cullen review of the 1972 film Z.P.G and it's the kinda dystopic vision the WEF have for us.
