yeah sure, I am not so well versed how that all functions in US politics. Thought Trump could just appoint someone. But it certainly would be a funny/exciting time with Alex Jones as President.

I think the party nominates, but that it will pick anyone Trump wants. But of course, you have to take into account that people don't want to support, let's be real, a crazy person or someone who appears to be crazy.
