Speaking of Jamie and Cercei, when the show was adapting the books their relationship was one of ruinous codependency and narcissism, and Jamie's redemption arc was heavy on admitting to himself how horrible his sister was. Incest in general was depicted as bad. The Targaryens dynasty bred insanity, Craster was a demon worshipper, etc. But once the show ran out of book material all that went out the window and all the incest was depicted as romantic. The big reveal of who was Jon's mother was juxtaposed with him having sex with his aunt, and when this information was made apparent to the characters none of them were at all repulsed by it.

The "aww you're sweet / hello, human resources?" comic is absolutely unbeatable.
