I've said it before, but it bears repeating.

They don't actually want to be a woman. They want to be a monster, while forcing you to call them a woman. They're not crazy, they're evil.

Those are not mutually exclusive. They definitely don't act sane, since somebody sane should fear overreaching and the consequences of that.
