I'm wondering the same thing, after seeing the flap about public menorahs in certain cities.
If a nativity scene is "too religious" for Christmas, then a menorah is "too religious" for passover. There's nothing "secular" about the fucking thing.
The whole conflation of Hannukah and Christmas is bizarre. They are unrelated.
