Recently got some John Ringo books at a yard sale and was wanting some ideas for other Military Sci Fi book series.
Michael Z Williamson, Freehold series.
David Weber, Honorverse series. On Basilik Station is book 1.
David Weber again, Safehold series. Off Armegeddon Reef is book 1. Very thick books (think Tom Clancy Debt of Honor thick), long, convoluted plot with a lot of characters. Be warned.
Really, John Ringo has a whole plethera of books that will take you a while to get caught up on. Aldenata series, Troy Rising, the Zombie series, Paladin of the Shadow series.
Bolo books by Keith Laumer.
Man of War 3 book series by H Paul Honsinger is very good, written in the Lord Nelson tradition. Author died of COVID, though, so what there is will be it, and the series leaves off on a cliff hanger.
I forgot to add, Baen has many of these books in their free library.
Oh shit, Baen has a free library. I had no idea, thanks man.
Baen is great because they actually cater to sci-fi fans and not the “modern audience”
