I am honestly not surprised they are using specifically push notifications. They have most of the text info in it and are easier accessible than some apps who might have encrypted chats. I wonder how many apps do show sensitive data in their notifications. I would hope some apps now fix it by making them ambiguous I. E. "you have a new message from xyz" instead of the content.
