Here's my question, if everything's so great, how come the leading cause of death among teenagers is suicide? Why do we have kids growing up, starting to understand what death is as a concept as they become teens, and then choose to die almost immediately? Do you realize how fucking insane that is? Do you understand that no civilization previously has ever had an epidemic of suicide? Do you understand that there are entire civilizations that barely even understand the concept of suicide because it's so rare?
I feel like these are people who are being told the leading cause of death is lead poisoning, and they are telling everyone that it's normal and has always been that way, and they drink from a leaded paint can.
