I know I need to play Fallout and my high school aged cousin keeps telling me to play New Vegas. I’ve also heard that the controls are similar to Skyrim so that is good. Apparently the main character is female. I guess in the game you create your own character like Skyrim. There was a time when a female lead wouldn’t have made me bat an eye but in the time we live now it’s a potential red flag. Also I heard the showrunner says he isn’t following the lore in the game or something. I would imagine more guys play Fallout, but that’s the same with Halo. I used to want an Elder Scrolls/Skyrim movie but now I hope they stay far away

Fallout TV show is unlikely to succeed even without wokeness IMO.
One major aspect of the games is just exploring around and finding things, and doing what you want. Locking that in to film removes that whole aspect, so that cuts my interest.
But the main thing that a TV show will not do is the fact that most Fallout factions/societies have both plusses and minuses (discounting FO3, but at least Bethesda returned a bit to morally grey in The Pitt). Even The Master, for all his insanity, had a point about Super Mutants being better suited for surviving than humans (well, for the 10% or so who kept their minds afterwards). Even 10-20 years ago, Hollywood would probably not have been able to actually make morally gray factions, and I certainly don't expect them to do it now.
Add in modern wokeness, and it's going to be flat out awful.
