I know I need to play Fallout and my high school aged cousin keeps telling me to play New Vegas. I’ve also heard that the controls are similar to Skyrim so that is good. Apparently the main character is female. I guess in the game you create your own character like Skyrim. There was a time when a female lead wouldn’t have made me bat an eye but in the time we live now it’s a potential red flag. Also I heard the showrunner says he isn’t following the lore in the game or something. I would imagine more guys play Fallout, but that’s the same with Halo. I used to want an Elder Scrolls/Skyrim movie but now I hope they stay far away

I was looking at a breakdown of the trailer and I understand that is not lore accurate but I admit I've not thought much of the lore of Fallout.
I've played 1,2 and then New Vegas, I also played the third one but not that much What I did not like in the trailer is that there is a ghoul and is not horribly looking. The entire point of ghouls was that they look like disgusting monsters but you would have to treat them as humans. They can also go feral and destroy settlements.
I wish the movie would touch on that but I'm willing to bet that it will be ghouls are the best, most noble ever and some rich white humans are senselessly discriminating against them.
They're all super friendly until a glowing one shows up.
