The issue, I think, is that being righteously angry at something produces a stimulant effect in the brain to which one can become addicted. She's looking for, amplifying and even baiting for this type of interaction. If she didn't get it from some random no-profile-pic account, she'd be making it up herself.

I've noticed the same phenomenon in lycra clad cyclists holding up traffic. I think it's actually a growing psychological problem in this country, along with gambling addiction.
