They've been trying to frame a lot of their pet issues as "public health crisis" for a while. From guns to climate to Right wing politics at all.

I suppose in their mind the Health aspect of the government through the CDC and WHO still has the most credibility so they want it to be the name people see attached to it all.

Which is laughably retarded. Might have been true pre-Covid to some amount, but now they are realizing they are reaching ATF levels of being hated and untrustable.
