It really angers me that there are public records of the FBI doing this (Khalil Abu Rayyan) and people still think that Salvador Ramos was able to afford a 2,000 dollar rifle and a 600 dollar optic, among other weapons, on a fast food job and just decided to shoot up an elementary school on his own. I guess the realization that the government actively goads people into mass murder so that the utopian dream will meet a little less resistance is too much for some people.

Couldn't he have used a new credit card? When I just graduated HS I started getting "pre-approved!" offers for cards with several thousand dollars spending limits.
The major issue with Ramos was that the gun he bought (Daniel Defense) could only be sent to gun shops in San Antonio...which none of the shops ever saw him, nor was he on any of their videos.
I’m not sure why that would be true- I’ve purchased guns online before and I was able to pick which FFL they were sent to. DD may have a relationship with some FFLs in San Antonio where the fee is lower, but any FFL should be able to do the transfer.
I mean do you think any shops are going to jump up and say "oh yeah that was us, we sold to the school shooter"? It is apparently known where he purchased the guns. Should they really throw some random store owner under the bus to appease the theorists?
