My only thought is that people should have learned that "new study says X" is useless because a study can be made to say anything and everything.
Especially this one, which is written with enough weasel words like "one explanation may be," "given the uncertainty," and the word estimate repeated a dozen times while also have all the writing ability of a 3rd year college student trying to emulate what smart people sound like.
It might be true, but given just this small snippet it seems like its still a poorly construed study rushed out to tell someone what they want to hear. Because all studies need funding, and all of that funding comes from prostituting to some ideology or corporation.
