Nobody was carried by DeWine in Ohio because he has no actual support. He's a cock sleeve. He has no charisma and is a party loyalist.

The difficulty that Vance had was that he was abandoned by the RNC, and despite trying to sink his campaign by not giving him any airtime, or putting him on any advertisements, or even mentioning that he was running, he still managed to eek out a win.
