Not that this is in total contradiction of your statement I suppose. They do occasionally rally together against other tribes, between their usual bouts of murdering each other.

That's how they think. That's how every ethnic/racial tribe thinks. Barring the one glaring exception.
Most people don't get this because they never see it in action, and by the point that they do, it's far, far too late to change things.
