Hasn't there been a dispute over there for about a hundred years, maybe even more? That's a long time to be bitter about it.

Hypothetically, let's say there is an amicable to both sides way to end it once and for all.

It will not be enough.

Someone, likely many someones, more than likely on either side, will let it boil and fester and agitate them, and then it'll full circle itself again. It's too late to do anything about it. Like many long standing issues, there is no easy or sure fix for this.
