I'm pretty impressed how fucking stupid normie Republicans are. I genuinely hate them.
Yeah, I figured every Democrat would vote one way, but it's always the Republicans who watch Sean Hannity and think George Bush was a good president that will always be my enemy.
There's definitely something to be said for that. Something that really hurts us on issues like this is the NPC meme is very real. We simply cannot compete with the left in terms of ideological homogeneity. Every single leftist drone that votes straight blue that turns out will vote for unlimited abortion 100% of the time. On the other hand, you absolutely have people who vote straight R who cross over and vote for it as well.
That being said, in the end with this specific instance, turnout seems to have been the difference.
This is why a parallel culture is necessary. Both the mainstream Left & Right are enemies. We need a completely external social and cultural structure in order to house people outside of the Leftist narrative they reside in.
Turnout may be part of the issue here, but I am convinced that the Republican Party is trying to suicide-bomb populism by keeping turnout low, while the Dems push turnout high.
The Republicans are so unpopular that they are hoping no one shows up, just so that their loss can be blamed on Trump. OneTruePhilosoraptor tried to do that with JD Vance. I didn't even know he was running. The Republicans didn't say fucking word. "Mike DeWine carried him" what a joke.
Yeah that is definitely a possibility. The establishment wing is desperate to get rid of Trump and would absolutely self destruct themselves if that's what they think it would take to do it.
It's funny that some people think DeWine carried Vance though. DeWine is relatively unliked considering how red the state is now. He got less than 50% of the vote in the primary and only won because the other two candidates split the vote.
RIP
