I don't get it. The law says he has to get surgery to have his birth certificate (family registry) changed. He shouldn't even have a family registry in Japan. How does any of this work?
He's officially recognized as a man in a marriage with a woman, but he wants to sue the government because he wanted to be recognized as a woman(tranny) (he's not recognized as such because Japan doesnt recognize trannies that dont go through the surgury, but the supreme court now says this law is unconstitutional), So if he wins then he would be in a same sex marraige.Even though Japan doesnt recognize same sex marriage (yet anyways)
