Also the pacing and storytelling with Venom is dogshit, because it's all removed from Peter.

At least Ultimate Spiderman on PS2 had the excuse of being the first to do it when faced with this problem. I'd imagine it was also more fun back then too, as none of them would have the balls to have Venom's first mission to be eating a literal child.
