I remember seeing Dragonflight, the WoW expansion, change 'Gender' to 'Body Type,' and some players initially tried to downplay it, but then they changed it in the Lich King Classic character creation menus, too, and it was kinda hard to argue that anything would be spared from the infiltration and subversion.

Don't forget when WoW changed pictures on the walls in-game from women to bowls of fruit when it was judged the pictures were too provocative.
