It's probably subconsciously they know it's wrong and will never consciously admit it. The gays just living their life everyday AREN'T part of the pride parade so allowed to be near kids.

Some of them are just predators or so desperate that they use it as an excuse, I lot I think are indoctrinated that once they get past that cognitive dissonance they might be productive members of society again.
