In July Alabama police announced charges against hoaxer Carlee Russell for lying about being kidnapped by a man with orange hair and taken away in an 18-wheeler.

So... What would have been the punishment for actually doing that to her, if they caught a ginger truck driver who was making deliveries in the area, and went "Believe All Whamen"? I have a feeling it'd be a bit more than this slap on the wrist, which is only a "recommended" and can be lightened.
