Policies aren't going to get regular men to throw thier lives away in a war. An attack, like Pearl Harbor for example, will.
Name one time the US has deployed mass troop formations to defend Israel.
Never. Literally never happened. In fact, there are one occasion where the US had infantry deployed against Israel: The Lebanon Crisis (before their civil war).
Bruh, what do you think the last 30 years of meddling in that region was about? Muh oil? Weird how every country we're supposedly raiding for oil is around, but never in, israel
They were all fought for different reasons, but protecting the dominance of the petro-dollar is certainly a reason to go to war.
As for Israeli energy, look for yourself:
They simply don't have much in the way of oil access. They've got better agricultural production than oil production.
It's so low, they only just started exporting oil: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/market-insights/latest-news/oil/021423-israel-makes-first-ever-crude-oil-exports-as-karish-gas-giant-ramps-up
They are energy import dependent.
