The public that knows this is bullshit won't do anything, because the other half that believes government propaganda are weaponized to defend any and all lies in the name of anti-"badthing".

Politicians, elites, let's just say the new Noble class hasn't thinly stretched anything that actually matters or could threaten their positions in any way. There's nothing overconfident about the actual valuation of reality.
