Can we dispense with this? Addiction of every sort basically hijacks the same neuro-chemical pathways so it's not "an addictive personality" or whatever bullshit. It's that you got addicted and people relapsing into the same addiction as before but just using a different substance to trigger the same pathways as always.
Now mix in the fact that smart phones, the internet and social media have all basically primed every single member of society to be an addict of some sort and you start to get an idea of just how deep this problem goes.
