Know how to fix things, or manufacture basic things. Learn how to garden, and do it. Learn how to weld, it helps with making things. Buy a 3d printer and learn how to design a part, lots of people are going to need little bits and bobs made that they can't afford to buy commercially.
Most important thing, learn how to be an extreme penny pincher. No eating out, make all food at home, as cheaply as possible (see gardening.)
We are all going to have to learn to live how my grandparents did in the Great Depression.
