If the media didn't write about her every other breath and minuscule detail you would forget she exists, whereas Michael Jackson was still dropping music that everyone was listening to even outside his fanbase and personal life.
Exactly this. I do not care about Taylor and I don't hear a lot of her music in public. I got one of her albums a while ago and while it was ok, nothing stuck. It's like her looks, there's nothing that stands out as obviously bad, but she's not a stunner no matter how much praise she gets. Her legs are just long and thin, big deal.
