Home Secretary Suella Braverman claims illegal migration is 'existential challenge' and hits out at 'dogma of multiculturalism'
Just a few days before the Conservative Party conference, the home secretary set out how she thought the global asylum system should be changed. The address was made to a US think tank as Ms Braverman visited Washington DC.
Doesn't the UK (and most of Europe) still have old WW2 fortifications or at least their foundations all around the coastline?
Wouldn't it be easier to update them with modern weaponry to blast any boat trying to pass?
Most of those tiny boats could be easily intercepted by the coast guard. Many in fact do get intercepted. The problem is the 'procedural framework' in processing the illegal immigrants and the 'due process' involved.
It's not an issue of 'could they?' Rather, it's an issue of 'will they?'
I understand that, and you're right along with the logistics of it all..
..but please understand my need to put Howeitzers on the coastline and wanting to eventually make automated turrets so we get closer to C&C base building technology.
