My “For you” tab is now a nest of tradwives, shoplifting videos, and that guy who has strong opinions on trouser creases. It is also home to the kind of old-fashioned misogyny that I once thought was on the decline.
Your "for you" page is like that because you went looking for that content and kept clicking on it and engaging.
Posts like that from normal people were suppressed under the old Twitter moderators, the combination of the jannies being fired and their autojanny protocol being changed + spiritual jannies fleeing to Mastodon sites made it possible for the things she's complaining about to be visible.
