(Originally hated AzurLane, have been playing and mostly enjoying it for about 1.5 years now)
I saw the hysteria right when it began a few days ago. Gonna be upfront, personally, I never liked Kashino. Her stats and skills for gameplay aren't that great, and being a Vanguard buff isn't enough to justify her taking up a spot in a six-girl fleet. So without that, the only reason for her is to exist is free advertising from lewd/porn artists drawing her for coomers and to extract money (this skin being talked about is 10~15$ in in-game currency). This is her THIRD alt skin since she was added to the game late 2020. Quite a few more useful shipgirls have gotten less and this one is still limited, not permanently available (most of the popular powerful / useful ships get this kind of attention, excluding research/PR ships for some reason)
While I've enjoyed a lot of alt skins in the game and many of the girls over the past few years, this year Manjuu has gotten more risque with the outfits than it used to be, to the point that my friends who like the game more have noticed it too. Some skins became more fetish oriented (e.g. Kursk and Chapayev's feet ones) while some leave none to the imagination (e.g. Regensburg and New Jersey's swimsuits). When this new Kashino one was teased about two weeks ago, I had a feeling this might not go down well. And of course, every stupid and nonsensical reason is being thrown by the idiots to attack the game. All the other ecchi outfits didn't draw their attention, but THIS does?
TL;DR There are legit reasons to not like Kashino and what's happening to the game. Just the retarded chucklefucks are at it again.
