My favorite dino has always been the Spinosaurus (JP3 is better than every movie except the original, fight me), who is basically on a 3 year cycle of "we were completely wrong last time, this completely different version of it is now canon" for decades now.
The field of paleontology is still plagued by the "shrinkwrap" problem, where every single dinosaur has to match up with their skeleton like the skin was literally wrapped over the bones tightly, despite that not applying to any other animal in existence.
While the "findings" might be done with a neutral, purely information stance (lol), the information is then passed through people who are anything but. Dinosaur "news" is always designed with "that thing you thought was cool? ITS ACTUALLY GAY LOL FAG." Mostly centered around the feather thing, but that's the undercurrent everytime. They want to take away something you liked as a kid, nothing else.
