I will finally get a new PC after quite a few years, and am wondering about the title question. Not planning on using Win 11 any time soon, which I believe requires it. I will probably still use the same high seas win 10 for the foreseeable future.
I have heard quite a few people suggesting to check if TPM is enabled in the BIOS, and to disable it if it is because of privacy concerns.
Thoughts?
There are work arounds I believe to the whole TPM thing, now I could be very wrong on this. I do think that the TPM requirement is mainly just to install Windows 11, I don't know if you need it to keep Windows 11 running. Once you're in you seem to be able to tweak Windows 11 as you like, I've been able to make a standard offline admin account. They just buried the settings more than usual because they're cunts.
