I at least think of Rome once a week as it's a good comparison:
•shitty modern architecture: thinking of Rome's still existing masterpieces
• shitty infrastructure: Roman's still functioning works
• Military going woke: Rome's regimented legions
It goes to show that despite us having the benefit of history hindsight and our technological advances, we really haven't got our shit together because if Rome existed now and could get our modern weapons, we'd all be speaking Latin as our primary language within a month. And most of it wouldn't be violent takeover as they'd just be better.
You forgot no fault divorce, which was one of the critical failures of Rome, as men no longer had a reason to work hard since the women didn't have a reason to stay loyal. You had men essentially giving up on achieving what their forefathers did, and so the decline of Rome was steady and then sudden.
It's almost like looking back at history can tell us a lot about what our future will look like.
