So normally when I make one of these I post various pics from the comic but since I'm reading these on the high seas anyway I figured I'd be an extra grumpy bastard and actually link the entire thing for people here to suffer through.

Basics: It's a Picard prequel comic when he's at the academy set in 2325 decades away from any show material.
It's written by Sam Maggs. Yes, that Sam Maggs.
I was expecting the comic to be shit. I was no disappointed, the cover alone shows the modern woke trend of "diverse" characters, and why the fuck one of them is wearing glasses is anyone's guess since that's all but eliminated with the exception of a rare allergy to the modern cure which was the reason Kirk needed reading glasses.
I was expecting blatant pandering and shitty references to occur. Again I was not disappointed. Picard not only doesn't like tea [yet], but when offered it he is warned "Careful, it's hot." Oh Sam you retarded wetwipe, that line wasn't anywhere near as witty as you thought it was nor however much anyone then praised you for it.
The dumb cameos don't help things either.
For anyone wanting to further lose brain cells you can check what other works have been done by Sam Maggs. The tl;dr is Captain Marvel, Critical Role, and My Little Pony.
I. Shit. You. Not.
Lol I read the comic. What drivel. I can't even tell what happened at the end unless a page or two is missing. But sure Picard starting a fistfight over a video game is very in-character for him...
It's not just that the writing is trash, it's that they clearly aren't fans, have zero knowledge of the property, and aren't even willing to bother with the slightest amounts of research.
On only the third page, they have this art, depicting the Earth-Romulan War. Specifically, they specify this as being the "Battle of Cheron".
All those Federation ships are ships that never appeared in even TNG until the First Contact film. I know this despite only being your bog standard Star Trek fan. I'm not an expert on it; I don't run a Wiki for it; and certainly no one pays me to write/draw content for it.
So, I went and looked it up. They are Akira Class vessels, that didn't enter service until the 2370s.
The Earth-Romulan War is listed as having been during the mid 2150's, through 2160. The Battle of Cheron apparently took place at the very tail end of the conflict, in 2160.
Kirk's era (as a captain) starts around 2265.
Thus, not only is the Earth-Romulan war ancient history before the Akira class showed up, you should be seeing ships more than a hundred years older than the Constitution class (entered service in the 2250's) "Enterprise" ships everyone is familiar with from the TOS Kirk era Star Trek.
It's just so fucking tiresome seeing these stupid ass radical leftist / SJW activists taking control of every property, not giving a single fuck about it, and then proceeding to destroy it as they use it as nothing more than a vehicle for their activism.
This female (I'm using this in lieu of "woman" now, as apparently it makes them "the big mad" when "incels" refer to them as this), in particular, is a spectacular piece of trash that delights in destroying the things you love.
To be fair, barely, I think that's more to do with the art being so shit that's how the NX design from Enterprise came out in this comic.
The same ships shown later on page 17 are even worse given the angles the nacelles sit at. No ship in Star Trek has ever looked like that.
The other ships present on the Federtaion side are the orange Tellarites and blue-ish Andorian ships that vaguely look like the Kumari from Enterprise, again with shit art. Doesn't appear to be any Vulcan ships however despite those being the most advanced in tech out of the founding Federation members at the time.
It appears I was wrong, and their art is depicting NX class ships. Thank you for the correction.
In my defense, it's hard to tell, as some of the ships are drawn so badly, it's hard to tell if the nacelles are supposed to be above (NX) or below (Akira) the centerline of the ship.
Thinking those abominations are the Akira is a very understandable error as the art really is that bad and the Akira does match the NX in a lot of ways.
The comic site lists this comic as the only/[first?] work by the artist, Ornella Greco, for better or worse.
