If you actually think corporate security is better than military you are extremely confused at best. Yes, the way military bases are run can be quite stupid. Most personnel are disarmed and going after soft targets like a cafeteria or grocery is not much harder than doing so normally. However ships are a hard target. You'd still have to get through hundreds of people with at least moderate training and conditioning, or very heavy armor if a direct attack, to actually damage or destroy a nuclear ship operated by the military. That is not the case with civilians or civilian vessels.

You not only don’t need training to get on a navy ship and kill multiple people you can do it as a drug addicted contractor.
