The Enabling Act was response to an emergency too. I'm sure as much as they would hate to be literally Hitler they wouldn't want to compare to that. I'm pretty sure there's something in the programming to respond. Let me guess that wasn't a real emergency, just like how real Communism hasn't been tried.
